What will you practice today?

I have been working with people and their weightloss/fitness goals for years. I am always taken back by how hard people are on themselves. For instance, when a person learns how to do kettlebell and it does not come as fast as they thought it would, they get frustrated with themselves. They think they should be able to get it right away, or within one hour of training (let me share that it took me months to perfect the keetlebell swing, and I still work on my form). I also hear people talk about their disatifaction with their body, their weight, their strength, how big they are, how small they are etc. Our expectations of ourselves are too high. What we expect from ourselves is nothing compared to our expectation of anyone else. They are simply unrealistic.

I vote that when you find yourself expecting too much of yourself, you repeate these words:

"Today I will practice _______"

How will you fill it in? Here are some samples:

Being patience

The swing with no judgement

Listening to when I am hungry and when I am not

Having one serving of dinner, not two

Lifting the kb with good form evertime (I had to put that in there) :)

So, with that said. What will you practice today?
